Art is the language of the soul, and prayer is the melody of the soul.
This exhibition combines in a rare and unique way the art that awakens from our prayers, and plays on the strings of the spirit.

In a profound and meaningful process, which continued over a period of time, the learning of the sources and meanings of the Nishmat Kol Chai prayer took place.
And it is through this learning, that the visual images seen in this exhibition were created.

The exhibition presents works by teachers and students of the "Start" – Institue of Arts, inspired by one of the most rich and exciting prayers of our Nation.
Each artist chose her unique way of expression, both in matter, form and context, in order to express the awakening of the soul and the desire for God's closeness that arises from the prayer Nishmat Kol Chai.

The exhibition includes a variety of media and techniques, ranging from classic Jewish calligraphy on parchment, micrography and gold leaves, to contemporary Judaica works using ancient techniques for an innovative personal expression; Pencil drawings and watercolor paintings, oil paints and acrylic paint; Ceramics, jewelry, and even an innovative combination of space photography and Hebrew letters.
The exhibition invites the viewer to gain a new inspiration for the Nishmat Kol Chai prayer through the art pieces shown, and – when he leaves the exhibition – to raise his eyes to the heavens, to observe, to admire, and to open the heart with a tremendous gratitude to the One who created and did all this.
