In my heart I see small, homely moments of family laughter with the backgammon board, the cup of coffee and the cigarette, and the togetherness that my father loved so much. My memories of my father are still so alive, It's hard for me to internalize that he is gone. I painted his figure in the sepia technique, as an shadow figure, which is still present, alive and breathing, in contrast to the other objects painted in bright and vivid colors.
