The artwork consists of two parts, which differentiate between the visible and the hidden, symbolizing the survival of the people of Israel throughout the generations.
The inspiration for the work is the renewal at every moment that we see in the Jerusalem forest, which, even after it was burnt completely, nevertheless new buds always begin to bloom.
The power of renewal in every moment in the present, stems from the power of
"המחדש בטובו בכל יום תמיד מעשה בראשית" – "He who renews in his goodness every day the act of Creation" – " The beauty and glory of nature leave us speechless in the face of the wonder of the constant renewal that results from the Creator's providence in the visible and in the hidden, in the survival and continuity of the world's existence
The tree, which re-grows itself from the strength of the root, is a parable for the survival of the people of Israel in all the difficult times it goes through. Thanks to our roots, which are our hidden backbone, we are able to experience eternal renewal.
